Accessibility
Statement
Enterprise Accessibility makes every effort to make our web site accessible
to a broad audience. We work to keep our pages compliant with commonly
accepted standards. WCAG guidlines and the US Section
508 standards
for accessibility include requirements that are subjective. We have done
our best to comply. Please direct questions, suggestions and comments to
.
Access keys
Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on
the web site. On Windows, you can press ALT + an access key; on Macintosh,
you can press Control + an access key. All pages on this site define the
following access keys:
- ALT-1
- Home
- ALT-2
- Skip Navigation to the start of the page content.
- ALT-0
- Accessibility information (this page)
Standards compliance
- Pages on this site are constantly being tested for Section
508 and WCAG AA compliance, as they are often used to evaluate testing
tools. We strive for full WCAG AAA compliance.
- Pages on this site use structured semantic markup. H1 tags are
used for main titles, H2 tags for subtitles. For example, on this page,
JAWS users can skip to the next section within the accessibility statement
by pressing ALT+INSERT+2 .
- Pages on this site use validated HTML and CSS markup.
- Pages published by Blogger.com, may not meet full Accessibility compliance
we desire due to limitations of the software. Please point out all complaints,
so we can keep the pressure on Blogger.
- There is a tracking script used at the end of each page that is not
standards compliant. It is required by our ISP to provide site traffic
statistics. It should not impact page accessibility. Please notify us
if you experience a problem.
Links
- Many links have title attributes which describe the link in greater
detail, unless the text of the link already fully describes the target
(such as the headline of an article).
- Links are written to make sense out of context.
- A "skip navigation" link is provided to bypass Navigation to the start
of the main content of the page.
Design Issues
- This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout.
- This site uses only relative font sizes, compatible with the
user-specified "text
size" option in visual browsers.
- The site uses relative window sizes, and each page is designed to adjust
correctly to large window sizes.
- If your browser or browsing device does not support style sheets at
all, the content of each page is still readable.
- Acronyms have been defined where applicable. Depending on the
browser, pointing the mouse at an acronym will give a visual "tool tip".
The acronym definitions can be read by most non-visual browsers.
Acronyms are NOT defined in Blog entries, as the Acronym tag is
not supported by Blogger.
